What this site does
dpdownloader retrieves profile pictures from nine platforms at the largest size each one actually stores, and hands them to you as a normal image file. There is no account, no app to install, and nothing added to the picture.
How it works
When you enter a username, the public profile page or public API for that platform is read, the largest available version of the picture is identified, and the image is streamed to your browser. Nothing is copied onto our servers along the way.
The size claims on this site were established by downloading each candidate and comparing file sizes, not by trusting documentation. That process changed several of our own assumptions. We expected YouTube's =s0 parameter to return the original file; it returns something smaller than the default. We expected Twitch to serve a 1200-pixel avatar; it returns a 404. Those findings are published on the relevant pages rather than quietly rounded up.
What we will not claim
No tool can exceed the resolution a platform enforces when a picture is uploaded. X caps avatars at 400 pixels and Twitch at 600, so those are the honest ceilings and we state them plainly. Where you see far higher figures advertised elsewhere, an image is being enlarged after download, which adds pixels but no detail.
We also will not pretend to reach private content. Every lookup here reads what a platform already shows to any visitor. When something is genuinely restricted, the lookup fails, and that is the correct outcome.
Platforms that were removed
This site previously offered Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp tools. All three now require a login for content that used to be public, so those tools were withdrawn rather than left in place to fail silently. A downloader that breaks every few weeks is worse than one that is not offered, and we would rather tell you the truth than keep a page that wastes your time.
Independence
dpdownloader is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Roblox, Telegram, Twitch, Kick, GitHub, X, or any other platform named here. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Contact
Corrections, bug reports and takedown requests can be sent through the contact page. If a tool has stopped working, telling us is genuinely useful — platforms change without warning and we do not always notice first.
