Open the pin in the Pinterest app or website, tap Share → Copy link, then paste it above. Both pinterest.com/pin/… and short pin.it/… links work.

Why Pinterest Makes Saving Media So Awkward

Pinterest is built around visual content, but it gives you almost no way to keep any of it. Right-clicking a pin often saves a resized preview rather than the file that was uploaded. Video pins have no save option at all — the player simply loops with no download control. Animated GIFs get converted to muted video on some devices, so even a screen recording won't give you the original animation back.

This tool talks to Pinterest's content network directly and pulls the original media file — the actual MP4 for videos, the full-resolution JPEG or PNG for images, and the real animated file for GIFs. It also grabs the pin's title and description, so you don't have to retype a recipe, a workout routine, or a set of instructions by hand.

How to Download from Pinterest — 3 Steps

  1. Copy the pin link: On the Pinterest app, tap the share arrow on any pin and choose Copy link. On desktop, just copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
  2. Paste it above: Tap the Paste button inside the input, or paste manually. Short pin.it links are supported too.
  3. Download: Press Download. You'll see a preview along with the title and caption. Click the download button to save the original file to your device — no watermark, no re-encoding.

What You Can Save

🎬

Video pins

Recipe clips, workout demos, DIY tutorials and design reels download as clean MP4 files that play on any device — no Pinterest branding burned into the frame.

🖼️

Image pins in full resolution

Instead of the compressed thumbnail your browser saves, you get the original upload — the version that's actually usable in a mood board, a print layout, or a design reference folder.

Animated GIFs

Pinterest hosts a surprising amount of animated content. This tool retrieves the animation itself rather than a single frozen frame.

Ingredient lists, step-by-step instructions, product details and source credits are shown alongside the media with a one-tap copy button.

How your download stays private: the original Pinterest CDN address is never sent to your browser. We generate a signed, time-limited link on our own domain, and the file is streamed through it. Nothing is cached or stored on our side, and the link stops working after six hours.

Pinterest Downloader — FAQ

No. You don't need to sign in to Pinterest and you don't create an account with us. Paste a public pin link and download — that's the whole flow.
Yes. The short links the Pinterest mobile app generates when you tap Share are fully supported. They're resolved to the full pin automatically.
No. Only publicly visible pins can be retrieved. Pins on secret boards, or pins that have been deleted, will return an error — that restriction comes from Pinterest, not from us.
No. You receive the exact original file. We don't re-encode it, compress it, or stamp anything onto it.
Each link is cryptographically signed and expires after six hours. That's what prevents the links from being shared, scraped, or reused by other sites. If a link expires, just paste the pin again to get a fresh one.
Saving publicly posted media for personal reference is generally fine. Republishing someone's work, claiming it as your own, or using it commercially without permission is not — that can breach both copyright law and Pinterest's terms. Please use this tool for personal use only.
Yes. Everything runs in the browser — Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android, or any desktop browser. There is no app or extension to install.
